Golden Signal Monitoring
Updated May 31, 2026 · today
Latency, saturation, and per-service error rate. Three of the four SRE golden signals — traffic is covered by Volume Anomaly.
Example alert
checkout-service p99 latency: 4.2s vs baseline 380ms
Exact wording varies — the detector generates titles from the anomaly it finds. This is representative of what an alert looks like when it fires.
How it works
Extracts latency (duration_ms, response_time), saturation (queue depth, pool usage), and error rate from structured log fields. Compares each signal against per-service rolling baselines. Learning period: 7 days.
